Children's Clothing Studio
Type - Commercial
Location - Mumbai, India
Area - 455 sq.ft.
When this client came to us, they were setting up a new workspace for their children's clothing startup and the brief was genuinely varied. They needed a cabin for client meetings, a working area for the team, space for storing and packing orders, and a display area for the collection - all within the same footprint. That kind of programme could easily result in a space that feels chopped up and disconnected, so our instinct from the start was to resist the obvious solution.
Rather than partitioning the space into separate zones, we designed it as a single open plan where each function flows naturally into the next. The idea was that the boundaries between tasks should feel soft, someone packing an order can overhear a conversation happening at the work desk, a meeting can spill into a casual discussion near the display. We wanted the layout to actively encourage that kind of interaction, because in a small, growing team, those unplanned conversations are often where the best ideas come from.
The interior language was shaped by the brand itself. We used a colour-blocking approach, drawing directly from the shades in the company's logo, and applied them across the space in a way that feels intentional rather than decorative. The intention was to create a workspace that's energetic and cohesive, but also feels like it genuinely belongs to the company it was made for.
