Sariya Residence

One of the biggest challenges in this home was balancing the different tastes of the family members. Everyone had a different idea of how they wanted their home to look, so our goal was to design spaces that reflected each person's personality while still making the entire home feel connected through one common design language.

The living room was designed to set the tone for the home. We kept the TV unit simple and elegant, using soft neutral finishes, and subtle brass details. Open shelves with integrated lighting create space for plants and curated décor, adding warmth and making the space feel lived in without making it look cluttered.

Rather than introducing colour throughout the house, we chose to make one highlight wall. The yellow feature wall in the passage brings a cheerful pop of colour and becomes a focal point as you move through the home. Paired with a sun inspired artwork and indoor plants, it adds character while still fitting into the overall palette.

We followed the same idea in the bedrooms, but instead of repeating the same colours everywhere, we designed each room to reflect the people using it.

The master bedroom, designed for the young couple, has a softer and more contemporary feel. Warm wood creates the base of the room, while olive green, mauve laminates, and black hardware add depth and personality. The colours and textures come through the materials themselves, creating a space that feels calm, modern, and comfortable.

The parents' bedroom takes inspiration from the furniture and interiors they are more familiar with. Rattan is the key material here, paired with deeper wood tones to create a sense of nostalgia. While the inspiration comes from traditional furniture, the overall design is clean and contemporary, making the room feel timeless, comfortable, and connected to their memories.
